Horse Care

Musculoskeltal therapy for your horse begins with a postural and gait analysis. A ridden and tack assessment is also preferred. Videos of your horse's action and behaviour are also always welcomed. This together with range of motion and palpation assessments will influence decisions regarding the direction the therapy takes both with regards to the body parts we will concentrate on and the choice of therapies used.

   These may include;

  • Soft Tissue and Joint Mobilisations - Range of motion exercises to improve the range and quality of movement in your horse.

  • Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release - Muscle and fascial release therapies to increase movement and comfort.

  • Specific Stretching and Strengthening Techniques - Muscle and joint stretches and targeted strengthening exercises that can be continued at home.

  • Chiropractic adjustments - Specicific segmental manipulations to improve joint movement and function.

  • Rehabilitation Programs - This is the homework. Best results are achieved when you keep working on specific exercises prescribed to your horse at home between visits.
